Ellard’s amenities are thoughtfully woven throughout the community, reflecting its original vision as a neighborhood within a park. From the Georgian-style Conservatory and pool to tennis, basketball, playground spaces, preserved parkland, and secure gated access, each element is designed to support recreation, connection, and daily life. Together, these shared spaces create a setting that feels both active and enduring.

The Conservatory

The Conservatory serves as the architectural and social centerpiece of Ellard. This Georgian-style clubhouse is situated on a four-acre preserve near the Chattahoochee River and is fronted by the lush Conservatory Park.

Designed as a gathering place for neighborhood life, the Conservatory accommodates social events, meetings, and informal gatherings. The interior features large stone fireplaces, a full kitchen, and a large-screen television, while a covered veranda overlooks the turn-of-the-century–inspired pool and gazebo.

Surrounded by Conservatory Park, the pool, tennis courts, basketball court, and playground, the Conservatory anchors the community’s shared spaces and reflects the neighborhood’s enduring architectural character.

Below the main level, a stone grotto provides shower and changing facilities that serve the surrounding recreational amenities.

Tennis Courts

Ellard’s two regulation-size, hard-surface tennis courts provide a refined setting for both instructional play and competitive matches. Whether hosting children’s lessons or evening doubles under the lights, the courts support players of all ages and skill levels.

Wind screens enhance comfort during play, and nearby seating areas offer space for neighbors to gather. Conveniently located near the playground and pool, the courts are seamlessly integrated into the Conservatory grounds.

Basketball Court

Located behind the pool area and overlooking the river corridor, Ellard’s half-court basketball court provides space for casual pick-up games and recreational play.

Positioned within the Conservatory grounds, the court complements the neighborhood’s broader recreational offerings while maintaining the scenic character of the surrounding landscape.

The Pool

Located behind the Conservatory, Ellard’s pool provides a relaxed and welcoming setting for residents throughout the warmer months.

The pool deck features comfortable seating areas with chaise lounges and umbrella tables, creating space for both quiet relaxation and informal gatherings. The adjacent stone grotto houses showers and changing facilities and offers covered space convenient to the surrounding amenities.

Positioned within the Conservatory grounds and near the tennis courts, basketball court, and playground, the pool supports the neighborhood’s emphasis on recreation, connection, and outdoor enjoyment.

Playground

Located within the Conservatory grounds, Ellard’s playground provides a welcoming outdoor space for the community’s youngest residents. Positioned near the tennis courts and pool, it allows families to enjoy multiple amenities while remaining within close proximity.

Surrounded by open green space and shaded seating areas, the playground supports the neighborhood’s emphasis on walkability, connection, and shared outdoor experiences. Its setting within Conservatory Park reinforces Ellard’s original vision of a neighborhood designed for gathering and everyday interaction.

Parks & Trails

Ellard was designed as a neighborhood within a park, and more than twelve acres of preserved parkland reflect that original vision.

Throughout the community, walking trails wind through landscaped green spaces and lead to picnic areas and private access points along the Chattahoochee River. These natural areas provide a quiet refuge while remaining just minutes from the greater Atlanta area.

Ellard’s parklands honor the early settlers of the area, including the Garrard family, and continue to host many of the community’s seasonal gatherings and outdoor traditions.

Located at the heart of the neighborhood, Conservatory Park serves as a central gathering space for residents. Shaded benches beneath mature maple trees provide a setting for relaxation and informal recreation.

The park is also home to seasonal traditions and outdoor events that accompany activities at the Conservatory.

Twelve Acre River Park

Just south of Pristine Place lies the entrance to Ellard’s twelve-acre river park. This preserved natural landscape offers scenic walking trails, picnic tables, and direct access to the Chattahoochee River.

The area retains its historical character, once near Addison Holcomb’s ferry crossing and later the site of Civil War activity, while today serving as a peaceful retreat for residents.

Caretaker’s Cottage & Fitness Center

The 2,500-square-foot Caretaker’s Cottage stands as a welcoming architectural feature within the Conservatory grounds. Inspired by traditional English estate gatehouses of the 18th century, the structure signifies arrival, privacy, and stewardship within the community.

The second floor houses Ellard’s fitness center, open 24 hours a day for residents. Equipment includes treadmills, ellipticals, a recumbent bike, free weights, and strength-training equipment, providing convenient access to daily wellness routines.

The building also houses the community’s gatehouse operations, reinforcing Ellard’s integrated approach to security and amenities.

Security & Gatehouse

The gatehouse marks the entrance to the neighborhood and manages resident and guest entry through a secure electronic access system. Residents utilize wireless remotes for vehicle access and manage visitor permissions through the DwellingLive online platform, which allows homeowners to pre-authorize guests, contractors, and service providers.

Modern gate technology and resident verification tools are used to confirm entry permissions and monitor guest access activity.

For detailed policies regarding gate access, visitor procedures, or security guidelines, residents should refer to the homeowner portal.
